Celebrating 8 years of unparalleled success, playing to packed houses all over New York City, Powella Productions and the LionHearted Players present the 2009 season finale of their comedy variety show “The Kong Show: Thanks A Lot!” on Monday, November 23rd at 7pm, NOW AT A NEW LOCATION! The Grand Theater at the Producers Club, located at 358 West 44th Street (between 8th & 9th Avenue). Join Powell Leonard as your host Chuck E. Baby (channeling a hilarious impersonation of a Chuck Barris-like Gong Show TV host character) for the season finale of the vaudeville-style variety show “The Kong Show: Thanks A Lot!”
The evening is a veritable feast, chock-full of laughs served up by a slew of hip vaudeville and variety acts; featuring the sketch comedy of the LionHearted Players: Vinny Anand, Lizzie Bell, Russell Bradley Bookert, Andrew Cordle, Bridget Dunn, Erik Graham, Michael Pichardo, Cathy Schramm, and Ann Marie Yoo. Plus, the stand up comedy magic of Irish Dave Cremin; the comedy duo the Knuckleheads; and from VH1's “Best Night Ever” special guest comedienne Mindy Raf. “The Kong Show: Thanks A Lot!” is vaudeville for the 21st Century live on stage. It’s more than just sketch, it’s more than just stand up, it’s more than you can imagine!
